چکیده
Abstract G. Gattar is located in the northern part of Eastern Desert Egypt, bounded by latitudes 26° 52´ - 27° 08´ N and longitudes 33° 13´ – 26´ E covers an area about 178 km2. Eighteen samples, nine from uraniferous mineralized granites were measured radiometrically for 238U, 232Th, 226RaeU 40K determination Na-I detector radioactive minerals identified alpha track method. Based on petrography, mineral content radioactivity, Gattarian classified into granites. Uranium contents reach up to 229 ppm 20300 granites, which extremely higher than international limits. eTh/eU ratio studied show average ratios 0.05 0.0044, respectively, lower igneous rocks, suggesting uranium enrichment reducing conditions. The U/Th are 62.23 4234.45, indicating that two granitic types considered highly productive rocks. radioelements interrelations manifest distribution not only magmatic but also related hydrothermal redistribution radionuclides associating with deposition. radiological hazard parameters, such as dose rate (D), annual effective equivalent (AEDE), radium activity (Raeq), external (Hex), internal (Hin) indices gamma index (Iγ) estimated these compared levels. Nearly, all samples a great extent recommended permissible levels environmental parameters.

Geochemical Characteristics and Chemical Electron Microprobe U-Pb-Th Dating of Pitchblende Mineralization from Gabal Gattar Younger Granite, North Eastern Desert, Egypt
Pitchblende mineralization was studied in the younger granite samples collected from Gabal Gattar, north Eastern Desert, Egypt using electron scanning microscope (ESM) and electron probe microanalyses (EPMA). This study revealed that this pitchblende contains significant Zr content reaching up to (66.80% ZrO2), which suggests that volcanic rocks were probably the source of such a deposit. High ...
متن کاملGamma radiation measurements and dose rates in commercially-used natural tiling rocks (granites).
The gamma radiation in samples of a variety of natural tiling rocks (granites) imported in Cyprus for use in the building industry was measured, employing high-resolution gamma-ray spectroscopy. The rock samples were pulverised, sealed in 1-l plastic Marinelli beakers, and measured in the laboratory with an accumulating time between 10 and 14 h each. From the measured gamma-ray spectra, activit...
متن کاملComparison of Indoor and Outdoor Dose Rates from Environmental Gamma Radiation in Kurdistan Province
Background & Aims: Studying about background radiation is important because human beings are continuously exposed to these radiations which leave energy in tissues and the transferred energy leads to undesirable biologic effects. The level of background radiation differs in indoor and outdoor places. Since, people spend more time indoors, in this research environmental gamma dose rate for indoo...

Introduction: This Study has was carried out to measure and detect the natural occurred radionuclide content including 226Ra, 232Th and 40K in the Nile River sediments at various locations in Upper Egypt, from Aswan to El-Minya. Additionally, we determine the absorbed dose rate, the annual effective dose equivalent, and excess lifetime cancer risk also has been calculated. Material and Metho...
